How to solve your
money problems
|
Beware of mirage!
It's always when one is confronted with severe money troubles that the temptation of mirage is the strongest. One is then very much inclined to take one's desires for reality. If one lies to others, it's first to oneself that one lies. Everything is on the point of being achieved, one has mirific projects in mind, fortune is at one's doorsteps, contacts are taken, everything will be signed as soon as possible, and so on. And one is already spending the money that hasn't come in — and that might never come in. Then, to pay off the debts, one embarks on new and grandiose projects, which naturally can't go wrong! And the vicious cycle can lead very far — sometimes all the way to the hobo's bridge!
You must absolutely not consider as obtained any money that isn't actually in your pocket or in your bank account. "Do not count your chickens before they are hatched" (Aesop). Refuse to believe still in Santa Claus, or in a stroke of magic wand which would miraculously compensate for your imprudences and your stupidities. Life is life, with its realities and its hardships; it's neither a dream nor a fairy tale.
