The paranormal past of Master Rao - Part 5

In October 1963, I wrote to Diem again to warn him of a new conspiracy. But at the same time I pointed out to him the necessity to liberalize his regime. Apparently, Diem was displeased: he did not answer me. On the first of following November, a coup d'état broke out: Diem and his brother Nhu were overthrown and killed.
In the same period, as U.S. President John F. Kennedy appeared determined to help the South Vietnamese fight Communism, I took interest in him. In early October, 1963, I tried through the American embassy in Saigon to send a message to Kennedy, telling him that, according to my astrological calculations, he was running the risk of being assassinated. I never know if my message had been delivered or taken seriously by Washington. But everybody knows what happened to Kennedy a few weeks later in Dallas.
During the years 1963-1969, I pursued my journalistic career. On one hand, I tried to be as an impartial observer as possible when making reports in the New York Times or the Washington Post. But on the other hand I also held a column in the local English-language newspaper Saigon Daily News. I wrote under the pseudonym VAN MINH. My column often caused sensation among the political and diplomatic circles in Vietnam as I fiercely criticized the Saigon regime, denounced the Communists and condemned the over-Americanization of the Vietnam war. As can be guessed, I made enemies on all sides!
