The twelve Animal Signs
for Women
|
Dog woman
Her productive capacities
Motivated, hard-working, reliable, perseverant, and punctilious, the Dog woman clearly has all the prerequisites for success in all fields of activity she chooses. However, like everybody else, she needs specific conditions in order to show all her worth. She would insist on being alone responsible for her own performance and controlling herself what she does. While she may want to supervise other people's work, she would feel crippled, paralyzed if someone looks over her shoulders; basically timid but proud, she would become unable to take initiatives or make all-out efforts under the direct authority of a boss - unless her boss is a person who has all her admiration, which is an exceedingly rare case. Fortunately, she tends to acquire some self-confidence and detachment with the passing of time, and then she will learn to support authority and cooperate with others more gracefully.
Paradoxically enough, this subject, whose main concern is to work for the welfare of others, finds it extremely hard to establish contact with people both in and out of her professional life. Her efficiency can reach the highest peak only if and when she works by herself, in as complete isolation and solitude as possible. Public relations, for example, are certainly not the right kind of job for her.
Material gains would be the last of her preoccupations. The Dog woman is even more disinterested than the male of the sign. One could say that money gives her an uneasy conscience. In any case, she considers discussions on money matters, such as haggling for a pay raise, as something indecent and has much difficulty in claiming a just remuneration for her work. One obscure side to her nature does incite her to earn more and more; but she refuses to put up with this feature of her character and sometimes reacts to it by indulging in fits of generosity - for instance, by devoting herself more completely or doing overtime work for nothing.
She has the same inclinations and aptitudes as her astrological brother. She can find her happiness in all careers that allow her to be of service to others - we can be sure to meet in this sign a large proportion of teachers, lawyers, social workers, preachers, missionaries, and the like. Of course, she is most active in all healing professions - as a doctor, psychiatrist, nurse, or herbalist. Her natural affinity with things of the earth makes her particularly fortunate in such occupations as geology, mining, farming, agronomy, forestry, real estate, construction, and the protection of environment.
