The Moon and the phenomenons of nature
Lunar revolutions, or lunations, cause deep effects and transformations on our planet. The tides of the seas and even underground currents, with all their consequences, occur because of specific positions of the Moon.
With the rising Moon, every living thing on earth is regenerated. Lou Pou-houei, a Chinese man of letters who lived in the third century B.C., advised us to eat shellfish during this period. "When the Moon is full, shellfish are filled. But during the last days of the lunation, all shelled creatures are empty..." It's also the moment to kill animals for consumption because their flesh is firm and juicy; to plant rice or to sow wheat because they will grow higher; or still to pick healing plants because they are then filled with active agents.
Life is slowed down with the descending Moon. Thus, the Chinese proceeded to castrating future eunuchs and animals during this period to spare them excessive sufferings and to avoid complications. Plant your salads during the descending Moon and they won't risk growing to high. Go to your hairdresser's only on those days because your hair will grow more slowly and consequently you'll save money.
